Join us for a fun, hands‑on lunchtime upcycling workshop that brings sustainable fashion to life. From Waste to Wardrobeinvites Queen’s staff, students and general public to explore creativity, circular design and simple techniques for giving old textiles a fresh purpose.

Led by Professor Alison Gault (Ulster University) and Dr Kunning Ding (Queen’s University Belfast), this relaxed 1.5‑hour session offers practical making, inspiration and space to connect with others interested in style and sustainability.

What You’ll Do

  • Transform old textiles into something new
  • Try simple upcycling and repair techniques
  • Bring your ideas to life with support from expert facilitators
  • Ask questions about design, sustainability and creative pathways
  • Connect with others who care about fashion and the planet

No experience needed - just curiosity!

What to Bring

  • A garment or textile you no longer wear
  • Optional: scraps or trimmings to experiment with
    (We’ll provide materials if you don’t have any.)
