Professor Marek Martyniszyn

Professor Martyniszyn is a world-leading expert in the area of competition law and policy. He focuses, in particular on cross-border cases, state involvement, as well as issues relating to functioning of new competition agencies and competition systems.

He specialises in international and cross-borders aspects of Competition Law (Antitrust Law) and Policy, including the limits of extraterritorial jurisdiction and enforcement, as well as state involvement in anticompetitive practices (including the issue of foreign subsidies).

His research has also focused on new competition systems and agencies, especially those in developing countries and economies in transition.

Professor Martyniszyn is a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN). He has presented his work over 100 times in over 30 countries, and on both academic and intergovernmental fora (such as the UN, COMESA and BRICS). His work has been used by the judiciary and policy-makers in multiple jurisdictions.
