The speaker for the first annual lecture will be Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and UN Commissioner for Human Rights.
The lecture is entitled 'Senator George J. Mitchell: A True Champion of Peace'.
Serving from 1990-1997, Mary Robinson was the seventh, and first female President of Ireland. She was the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997-2002. With a commitment to empowering the poor and marginalised, Mary Robinson works to secure global justice for vulnerable people across the world.
