Riddel Hall, 185 Stranmillis Road, Queen's University Belfast
Presented by Patrick Honohan, Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland 2009-2015
In this talk, Patrick Honohan - who was in the thick of the post-crisis recovery as Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland and a member of the European Central Bank's Governing Council between 2009 and 2015 - will look back at the damage the last failures caused and consider whether the new approach that banking authorities in the UK, the euro area and the US are implementing to resolve failing banks can deliver on what it promises.
