Queen's staff recognised in New Year's Honours list 2021
The New Year's Honours list 2021, published on 30 December 2020, recognised the achievements of two members of staff at Queen's:

- Mrs Brigid Doyle, Head of Childcare, Queen's University Belfast. For services to higher education.
- Mr Christopher James Preshaw, Chief Technician, School of Biological Sciences, Queen's University Belfast. For services to higher education.
Honours are given to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference to their community. Along with the Queen's Birthday Honours, The New Year's Honours are the most significant announcement of civilian and military gallantry awards.
