Offer Holder Days
Congratulations on your offer to study with us here in Belfast! We know choosing a university isn't just about the course, it's about finding a place where you feel like you belong. That's why we would love for you to come along to one of our Offer Holder Days.
By booking your place, you'll get an behind the scenes look at life at Queen's, explore the spaces where you'll study, discover more about your chosen course and meet some of the people who could be sitting beside you in your first lecture in September.
If you currently hold an offer of study, details on how to register for our upcoming Offer Holder Days will be sent via email.
You might be wondering how an Offer Holder Day compares to an Open Day.
Think of our Open Days as the big introduction to Queen's. Offer Holder Days are more focused events exclusively for students holding an offer of study. They're designed to help you dig deeper, get a more personal feel for Queen's and find out what studying here really looks like.
It's our chance to show you the details you can only appreciate in person and to help you decide if Queen's feels like the right fit.
WHY ATTEND AN OFFER HOLDER DAY?
Visiting Queen's on an Offer Holder Day is one of the best ways to picture what your life could be like. You won't just walk around campus, you'll be stepping inside the places where you'll actually study, meet lecturers who will teach you your first year modules, and chat with current students about everything from life at Queen's to the best coffee spots around Botanic.
We can't wait to welcome you, answer your questions and show you why Queen's could be the perfect next step in your university journey.
Our students have shared how attending an Offer Holder Day turned Queen's from an option on their list into a place they could genuinely imagine themselves studying. Read their stories below.

WHAT HAPPENS AT AN OFFER HOLDER DAY?
CAMPUS TOUR
While you’re here for our Offer Holder Day, why not join a campus tour? It’s a great way to explore key spots like the Lanyon Building, The Physical Education Centre, and The McClay Library. If your course has its own dedicated building—especially for practical degrees—be sure to check it out! You might even get to join in on demos run by students and staff.
Lanyon Building
The main Lanyon building was opened in 1849 and is a Northern Ireland landmark.
Named after its architect, Sir Charles Lanyon, the striking building is the central part of the campus and has been voted one of the most beautiful university buildings in the world.
McClay Library
Opened in 2006, the stunning Library sets the benchmark for university study hubs, with over two thousand reader spaces set over four floors.
We'll show you the private study areas, the millions of books for all subjects and take you through the Narnian wardrobe door to the CS Lewis Study Room, named after one of Belfast's most noted literary sons.
Sport
The Physical Education Centre in Botanic Gardens is a state-of-the-art space. Our facilities cater for all mainstream indoor sports.
On your tour you’ll see some of the famous sporting faces whose careers were nurtured at Queen’s Sport. These facilities are all available to new students of the University.

ONE ELMWOOD STUDENT CENTRE AND STUDENTS' UNION
The new state-of-the-art building brings together student services with the Students' Union and a range of facilities so students can access services, collaborate in shared spaces, get support and advice, and socialise in first class venues. Everything you need is in one place.
It provides a whole new exciting space to catch up with friends, study in a tech-friendly space, grab lunch from the SU Shop, enjoy a pint in the Union Bar, or take in a gig in the brand new Mandela Hall.
One ElmwoodACCOMMODATION TOUR
Thinking about living in Queen’s accommodation? Hop on one of our buses, running every 20 minutes, to see both BT9 and BT1 City Centre Accommodation. These tours take about an hour, so be sure to plan this into your day!
SUBJECT SESSIONS
Our subject sessions are designed to give you an in-depth look at your course. You’ll get a feel for what you’ll be learning over the next few years and have the chance to ask your lecturers anything about the course, including how it’s taught, assessed, or the study hours. It’s a brilliant way to find out if it’s the perfect fit for you.
