The Literific host weekly debates, on a Thursday evening, that aim to promote the skills of debate and public speaking.
Each debate has between 4-6 speakers and the audience is welcome to contribute to points of information and to ask questions at the end. Around 70 members attend our debates each week so this is a perfect opportunity to meet new people, to build self-confidence and to gain the Future-Ready award.
The skills learned from competitive university debating are an asset for all graduate roles; we attract many students from the fields of law, engineering and medicine amongst many others. We aim to promote oratory skills in the STEM sector along with Arts and Humanities.
