Heart Health Champions will be involved in the promotion of healthier lifestyle choices in nursing students and awareness of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk management. This aligns with the ASMOSUS digital resource on CVD awareness, management and healthier lifestyle promotion, which will be embedded in routine teaching. The aim is to empower nursing students to improve their risk factors through knowledge and practice, this will translate into optimal care, communication and assessment of patient/client care. 

The aim is that the heart health champions will encourage and motivate their peers through CVD events that are chosen and organised by them.
