The Queen’s Careers, Employability and Skills service are delivering a Life Science Employers tour for first year students in the Medicine, Health and Life Science Faculty (students registered for undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical, Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences).  On our two-day programme after the summer exam period (May 20th and 21st) students who secure a place will have the opportunity to visit a number of our most innovative local scientific employers. Our intention is to help students on the tour to better understand the wealth of potential careers areas that exist within this dynamic area, those that are lab and non-lab based.   

On this tour participants will;  

  • Visit employers at their R and D and manufacturing locations – find out what science is taking place and how.  
  • Network with recent graduates and Queen’s alumni.  
  • Get tips from recruiters on getting hired.   
  • Find out about summer internships, placements and graduate opportunities.
