The Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) programme for Bioscience subjects in Nursing (Bioscience Nursing PALS) supports pre-registration nursing students (known as PAL Learners) in learning and consolidating their knowledge of essential and core principals of bioscience subjects that underpin the content of their Applied Life Sciences and Essential Pharmacology modules.  The PAL programme will utilise the existing knowledge base among other (year 2) students - who are known as PAL Leaders.  These student volunteers facilitate a series of guided workshops to help year 1 PAL Learners, in grasping key concepts of these core modules on the nursing curricula.   The PAL programme fulfils SDGs 3 (Good Health) and 4 (Quality Education) – by promoting education for all, and improving health and well-being of participants and subsequently their patients.
