The event will take place online on Zoom, and it is free to attend. It is open to everyone, and no previous knowledge of dementia or research is required.

Speakers

  • Professor Brian Green leads a dementia research group at Queen’s University Belfast, and is the Coordinator of the ARUK Research Network in Northern Ireland. He will give an overview of dementia research currently taking place across Northern Ireland.
  • Dr Emma Cunningham is a Lecturer and researcher based at Queen’s University Belfast. She studies delirium and how it is linked with changes in memory and thinking, and with dementia. In her talk, she will discuss her work researching delirium that develops after surgery, exploring how it impacts people’s memory and thinking long-term, and the likely course their recovery may follow.
