To mark the end of the 2020-21 academic year, Queen’s Sport have sat down with two role models from the sporting world that have brilliant insights for our students, staff and coaches. As we look forward to a more normal sporting calendar in 2021-22, Rebecca Edwards and Mary Phillip help frame the experience of the past twelve months and how it can be harnessed going forward.

Event One – “Queen's Sporting Conversations - Olympic Dreams” – will be broadcast through the Queen’s Sport social media channels on Wednesday 30^th June at 8pm. The programme will feature recent Queen’s graduate and former Elite Athlete Programme scholar Rebecca Edwards, who has recently been selected on the GB Rowing team for the Tokyo Olympics.

Queen’s Performance Skills coach Hugh Campbell is joined by international gymnast and current Elite Athlete Programme scholar Ewan McAteer in studio. The conversation explores Rebecca’s journey through the Queen’s Sport Athlete Pathway towards Olympic selection and looks for the lessons for our current student athletes.

Event Two – “Queen's Sporting Conversations - Football's Lioness” will be broadcast through all Queen’s Sport social media channels on Wednesday 7^th July at 8pm.
