HAPP Athena Swan is delighted as part of International Women’s Day to welcome Dr Lorraine Grimes, University of Maynooth.  She will be hosting a seminar ‘Empathy and Ethical Approaches to Institutional Abuse in Ireland and Britain’s Mother and Baby Institutions’.

She will be placing women’s experiences in the narrative by responding to the Republic of Ireland's Final Report of the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes conclusions on: the family, class, forced adoption, race and ethnicity and disability.
