Dr Fiona McGaughey and Professor Harry Van Buren III will each present research on topics spanning modern slavery, business and human rights. Dr McGaughey is an associate professor at the University of Western Australia Law School specialising in international human rights law and modern slavery. She has published extensively on Australia's Modern Slavery Act and is previously an editor of the Third Sector Review. Professor Harry Van Burren III is the Z. Lupton Patten Endowed Chair of Business Ethics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an Honorary Professor at QUB Law School. He is section editor for the Journal of Business Ethics and has made major contributions to the intersections of business ethics, corporate responsibility and human rights.
