The Peer Proofreading forum is for postgraduate students to enhance their academic writing through proofreading.
- Date(s)
- August 9, 2023
- Location
- TR2, The Graduate School
- Time
- 10:00 - 13:00
Students are required to bring copies of their own academic writing to facilitate their learning within a peer-based environment. The sessions are hosted by Dr Abbie Edgar and Dr Fabiana Fausto McCracken (Researcher Development Consultants) and include short activities on academic writing, followed by students proofreading each other's work. The forum provides an opportunity for cultural exchange and to develop a network within the postgraduate community. Students will:
- Identify errors and inconsistencies in their work
- Assess the skills needed for effective academic writing
- Improve their editing and proofreading skills
- Develop multidisciplinary peer networks
Please bring samples of your own work to use in each session. This is compulsory.
Breakfast will be provided.
