Our awards support students studying in Arts, Humanities and Social Science planning to undertake skill development activities around the world.
International activities can can be supported by the 'Jetset Your Degree Award'.
Please note that students are responsible for researching visa requirements and obtaining the correct visa of their intended host country. QUB cannot provide advice on visa matters.

The Dr Thomas J Moran Travel Scholarships were set up in 2018 by the Irish American Partnership to honour Dr Thomas J Moran. These awards are intended to assist with travel abroad i.e. outside of the UK and Republic of Ireland relating to study or work experience.
This award is only available to undergraduate students (Stage 1 or Stage 2) studying within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences who have a declared household income below the minimum published threshold to determine eligibility for a full maintenance grant, as assessed by Student Finance NI, (maintenance grant letter must be uploaded at time of application) or are care leavers/care experienced students known to the Widening Participation Unit.

Applications for this academic year have now closed. We had a high level of interest and a large number of applications and, as such, funding is no longer available for this academic year.
The AHSS 'JETSET' award will support you in being able to take part in an international activity during the 24/25 academic year that that will enrich your degree and support your skill development relevant to your chosen career. This award is available to current QUB students studying within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Awards of £1000 may be made to support you taking part in an activity outside of UK/ ROI. The activity must add value to your degree, enhance your skills and be relevant to your chosen career. Application necessary, awards are subject to funding availability, terms and conditions apply.
