Economy Committee receives Evidence Session at Queen's University

The Northern Ireland Assembly Economy Committee received evidence from Queen's leaders in One Elmwood

We were delighted to welcome the Committee for the Economy to Queen's University. The visit was an opportunity to discuss the vital role of #HigherEducation in driving economic growth, innovation, and social prosperity across Northern Ireland.

At Queen’s, we’re committed to delivering world-class education and research that directly benefits our region – from producing highly skilled graduates to delivering economic impact through our partnerships with industry. Today’s discussion focused on the need for a sustainable model for the sector – one that enables growth, removes barriers, and helps us to retain local talent while continuing to attract international expertise. With the right investment, our universities can continue to play a transformative role in building a more prosperous, inclusive, and competitive Northern Ireland.
