Hello, everyone!
It's Madhurya Jagadeesh here, and I'm absolutely thrilled to share my journey at Queen's University Belfast with you all. Since arriving from the beautiful city of Mysore, India, in September 2023, I've been diving headfirst into the fascinating world of Business Analytics through the MSc programme at Queen's Business School.
Several months into this journey, I'm bursting with excitement to talk about this brilliantly structured course. The diversity here is incredible, with course mates from fields as varied as Psychology and Engineering, enriching our discussions and perspectives.

Course structure
Our one-year adventure is cleverly divided into three insightful terms. The first term builds our foundation, introducing us to the crucial elements of Descriptive Analytics. It's all about unravelling the "what" and "why" of past events through Data Management and Statistics for Business. And let me tell you, it's like watching data weave its own story!
Then, as we step into the second term, we're catapulted into the world of Predictive Analytics. Here, courses like Advanced Machine Learning & Data Mining aren't just classes; they're gateways to the future, equipping us to anticipate and shape what's next.

Additionally we also learn the optimisation side that is Prescriptive Analytics. This is where we learn to take all our data-driven insights and turn them into actionable strategies. It's not just learning; it's about doing, about making a tangible impact.
Blend of theory and practice
And that's not all. We also delve into the specialised areas of HR Analytics and Marketing Analytics, bridging the gap between learning and real-world application. It's this blend of theory and practice that makes every lesson so gripping.
But wait, there's more! We're also navigating the crucial aspects of AI, particularly its ethical and policy implications. It's essential in today's tech-centric world, ensuring we're not just skilled but also conscientious professionals.
