FINITE ELEMENT MODELLING RESEARCH GROUP

This research group aims to develop new knowledge and methodologies to enable CAD and CAE tools to be used more effectively in the industrial design process. This includes: Mesh Generation, "Defining Simulation Intent", CAD parameterisation in design, Reduced order modelling. The long term goal is the creation of innovative designs for complex products, created using an automated design process, based on efficient and adaptive analysis, using analysis models of appropriate complexity.
