Centre for Inclusion, Transformation and Equality (CITE) hosted a postgraduate research (PGR) seminar on 8 December 2025, bringing together staff and students to hear about current research from doctoral researchers.

The seminar featured short presentations from first-, second- and final-year PGRs, covering topics such as the experiences of older LGBTQIA+ people in Northern Ireland, how teacher education programmes support newcomer pupils, and parents’ perspectives on preventing child sexual abuse of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

One attendee described the event as “a valuable opportunity to hear from researchers at different stages and to learn more about the real-world impact of their work.”

The session concluded with an open discussion, providing space for questions, reflection and shared learning, and highlighting the breadth of inclusive research taking place within CITE.
