Chaired by Senate Member Mairéad Regan, the Judging Panel is made up of staff from across the University as well as a student representative. The Panel will assess all nominations against the award criteria.

Mairéad is Co-Chair of the Judging Panel and a member of Senate, the University's Governing Body.

Amy is the President of the Queen's Students' Union.

Aidan is the Dean of Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He was part of the EEECS PGT team that won the Staff Excellence Award for Innovation in 2020.

Deirdre is a Reader in the School of Pharmacy. Deirdre was part of a team of Queen's staff and external partners that won Team of the Year at the 2022 Staff Excellence Awards for their positive contribution on the special school community in Northern Ireland with the introduction of a saliva-based COVID testing programme.

Maria is the PA to the Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor and representative for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Maria won a Staff Excellence Award in the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ category in 2021-22 For a significant contribution to the AHSS Faculty and the University for over 25 years and for exemplifying the University's Core Values.

Gary is the Business Coordinator within Student and Campus Experience. He was part of the Campus Food and Drink Team, which won the Team of the Year award at the 2021 Staff Excellence Awards.

Karen is Head of Childcare at Queen's. Her team won the Team of the Year award at the 2022 Staff Excellence Awards.

Michael is the Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Strategic Projects and is based in the Chancellery. Michael won a Staff Excellence Award in the ‘Exceptional Contribution’ category in 2022-23 for his impact across disciplines, extending beyond academia, fostering sustainability initiatives and championing Queen's as a climate change action leader.
Kevin is the School of Nursing and Midwifery’s Technical Manager and the Technical Lead for Simulation. Kevin won a Staff Excellence Award in the 2021-22 'Innovation' category for his instrumental role in the delivery of the InterSim, a unique and innovative educational centre.
