Criteria for Admissions

A 2.1 Honours degree or above or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in any subject discipline plus one year of experience in an ABA related context and access to an ABA related working environment. Applicants with a 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University may also be considered if they have at least two years of experience in an ABA related context and access to an ABA related working environment.
In line with University Regulations, there is a language requirement for applicants whose first language is not English (IELTS 6.5 or approved equivalent. For IELTs a minimum score of 5.5 is required in all four elements of the test.)

Programme Specific Regulations

The programme may either be completed over one academic year (full time) or students may build up the required number of modules over a period of two years from initial enrolment (part-time).

Students must pass 120-CATS points of taught modules on the programme to be eligible for the award of a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis.

On successful completion of the award, students will:

On the completion of this course successful students will be able to:

Students will develop practical and research skills in Behaviour Analysis. The course sequence (6 core modules) is approved by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and meets the learning outcomes set out in the BACB Tasklist (4th Edition). In addition, the students will develop their skills in writing and Internet searching as part of the requirements of online learning.

Learning is independent and supervised by module tutors and has a practical as well as conceptual/theoretical orientation.
