EDUCATIONAL AIMS OF PROGRAMME
Within the context of striving towards the University’s vision, this degree programme aims to:
Provide effective systems of learning, academic guidance and pastoral support to encourage the academic, intellectual and personal development of students
Provide students with a broad, analytical and highly integrated study of Business and Management through the study of modules focused on business management, including the key functional areas such as marketing, operations management and human resource management..
Provide students with knowledge and understanding of the political, social, ethical, cultural and economic environments within which business is conducted.
Equip students with an understanding of how modern organisations work by focusing on the connections between business, government and society, the role of leadership, innovation and creativity.
Develop students' knowledge and skills base in ways which inter alia will enhance their employment opportunities
Maintain a supportive working environment in which there is respect for social and cultural differences and openness, fairness, and equality of opportunity in relation to selection, learning assessment and support
