Awards, Credits & Progression of Learning Outcomes
Part-time students may take no more than four modules in any one academic year. A part-time course of study should be completed in a minimum of two and a maximum of five years. At the discretion of the Adviser of Studies, other approved modules in the University may be taken.
Stand Alone Modules: It is possible to take stand alone modules without registering for the BSc (Hons) programme, subject to satisfying the appropriate entry requirements.

Educational Aims Of Programme

The overall aims of the BSc (Hons) in Health Studies programme are as follows:

Prepare healthcare professionals to meet the changes and challenges of health care delivery within the health service and independent sector.

Provide an academically challenging and practice orientated course of study that will prepare registered practitioners to contribute to the quality of professional evidence and informed practice.

Enhance the ability of practitioners to function as competent and confident graduates.

Notes

Programme Structure, Levels, Modules and Credits Due to the part-time nature of this programme, students are normally only permitted to study a maximum of 3 modules in one academic year and a maximum of two modules in any one semester. Compulsory Modules Part-time students may register for module SPN3101 Research and Development in Clinical Practice in either the first or second year of study. Some modules will have restrictions, students must be working in the relevant area to access these.
