Educational Aims Of Programme
The overall aims of this programme are to offer a high quality teaching and learning environment and education programme for students to be able to:
Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the evidence base underpinning psychological trauma and loss;
Thorough examination of the relevant literature reflect on the victim / survivor journey;
Consider and review the relationship between trauma and addiction;
Consolidate, extend and apply knowledge and understanding of the research process;
Explore the responses of International Agencies to global conflict;
Develop a critical understanding of the impact of intergenerational trauma on individuals, families and communities;
Evaluate the range of treatment modalities for psychological trauma;
Appreciate the nature and significance of vicarious traumatisation;
Develop a requisite set of gradate skills.
