Educational Project Developer 


Background

Jill joined the Centre for Educational Development as an Educational Project Developer in September 2025.

Before taking up this role, she worked in Queen’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, where her research focussed on the role of community organisations in supporting individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing

Jill is a Registered Adult Nurse and completed her PhD in Nursing at Queen’s in 2025. Her doctoral research explored referral routes to community support, with a particular focus on the impact of social prescribing on health and wellbeing outcomes

Responsibilities within the University

As an Educational Project Developer, Jill works within the Centre for Educational Development on collaborative projects across the University, supporting the delivery of Queen’s Education Strategy. 

External Recognition

Jill is a Registered Adult Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register. She is an active member of the All-Ireland Social Prescribing Research and Evaluation Committee.

She is an active researcher with a particular interest in the role of community organisations in supporting health and wellbeing, as well as the impact of social prescribing on individual health and wellbeing outcomes.

Professional and Personal Interests

Jill has a strong interest in research and education and is committed to ensuring learning is accessible to all. She believes that the most effective way to achieve meaningful and lasting impact is through evidence-based research and practice, alongside co-produced approaches that involve working in partnership with communities, colleagues, and learners, to ensure that diverse voices and lived experiences shape outcomes. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors with her dog, Josie.
