Supporters of the All Ireland Pollinator Plan
In 2021 the University became Supporters of the All Ireland Pollinator Plan in pursuit of enhancing biodiversity within Queen's campus.

In support of the All Ireland Pollinator Plan the University undertake a number of action to enhance sustainability on-site:
- Management of seven 'no mow' areas across the campus, providing over 7000m2 land just for wildlife. 'No Mow' areas provide unique areas for biodiversity to thrive due to minimal disturbance from traditional management techniques.
- 80% of plants chosen from the RSPB and RHS plant lists to ensure pollinator species are being prioritised.
- Planting of native trees and wildlife hedgerows.
- Minimal use of pesticides and herbicides are used on campus with use mainly used on hard surfaces for health and safety purposes.
