One to One Support

One-To-One Support

If one-to-one support has been recommended in your Needs Assessment, the Register of Support Providers at Queen’s will help match you with the right person to support your needs.

This type of support is sometimes referred to as Non-Medical Help (NMH) — a term you might see on your DSA paperwork.

A range of support is available depending on your disability or long-term condition. This may include:

  • Dyslexia or Study Skills Tutors

  • Academic Mental Health Tutors

  • Note Takers

  • Readers or Typists

  • Campus Assistants

  • One-to-one Exam Support

While this support isn’t subject-specific, it’s designed to help you develop effective learning strategies, build confidence, and make the most of your academic potential. Support can be arranged on a regular or ad hoc basis depending on your preferences and course demands.

If you have any questions, or if something isn’t working as it should, please get in touch with the Register Team at nmhregister@qub.ac.uk —they’re here to help.
