The Lanyon Building
This spectacular and unique building is the centrepiece of the University. It comprises a number of distinctive rooms and spaces ideal for receptions and ceremonies. The stunning cloisters and quadrangle can also be used for outdoor receptions.
The Great Hall
A beautiful and atmospheric space at the heart of the University.
The Great Hall has developed an enviable reputation as one of the most unique wedding venues in Northern Ireland. The magnificent paneled walls display a selection of portraits from the University's art collection, creating a warm, powerful and theatrical space at the heart of the Lanyon building.
The Canada Room & Council Chamber
An excellent choice for a smaller wedding.
This sunny first-floor space, which is suitable for ceremonies or small receptions, offers panoramic views over the University lawns and features a charming minstrel gallery.
The Harty Room
An intimate Tudor-style space for your ceremony.
The Harty Room, with its oak beams and a stunning stained glass window, is perfect for both civil and religious ceremonies. It also features a bright, spacious modern foyer.
Queen's Film Theatre
Create your own showstopping ceremony at this unique venue.
Conveniently located next to the Lanyon building, the QFT is fully licensed, with a modern bar area perfect for cocktail and canapes. We can even add a cinematic flourish to your special day with a film screening of your choice.
Riddel Hall
A stunning, Grade 2-listed building set in 13 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, it’s easy to see why Riddel Hall was voted‘Best Wedding Venue in Belfast’ at the Northern Ireland Wedding Awards 2017. Located a short walk from the main campus in fashionable Stranmillis, this unique venue provides a picturesque country setting right in the heart of the city.
Sympathetically renovated to retain many of its original features, Riddel Hall offers a choice of grand drawing rooms for your ceremony and a stunning glass courtyard for your reception. The gardens and grounds present the perfect backdrop for photographs.
The Isdell Courtyard
A breathtaking mix of old and new.
Originally an external courtyard, the Isdell has been enclosed by a stunning glass canopy. Retaining many original features of the exterior, its blend of old and new makes it an ideal reception venue for modern and traditional weddings alike.
Grand Drawing Rooms
Elegant spaces for a ceremony or drinks reception.
Our light and airy Grand Drawing Rooms are flexible spaces that work equally well for ceremonies and drinks receptions of various sizes.
The Glass Foyer
A warm welcome for your guests.
Linking the original Grade II listed building to the modern conference and events centre, the stunnning glass foyer is an elegant all-weather venue for a drinks reception.
Conference Rooms 1 & 2
Flexible spaces for your ceremony.
At Riddel Hall we can readily transform one of our Conference Rooms into a spectacular space where you and up to 150 guests can share your wedding ceremony.
