Anthropology seeks to understand what it is to be human, studying societies and cultures in order to grasp their similarities and differences. It studies and compares the lives and world-views of people across the globe, from hunter-gatherers to 'Western' city-dwellers, from settled agriculturalists to migrant workers.  Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental questions, such as those abut reason, existence and knowledge.  The combination of these two subjects will offer many interesting and thought-provoking, interdisciplinary thinking on Religion in the modern world.
