Dr Amy Prendergast (QUB), Inhabiting and creating the diurnal environment: Place & identity in women's diaries from Ireland in the long Eighteenth Century’

Dr Amy Prendergast is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Research Fellow (2021-23) on a project entitled, 'Textuality, Place, and the Self: Reimagining Life Writing through Women’s Diaries from Ireland, 1725-1810'. Her research interests are in the long eighteenth century centre on women’s writing, Irish literature, transnational studies, and life writing. Her first monograph, Literary Salons Across Britain and Ireland in the Long Eighteenth Century (Palgrave, 2015) examined the important role played by salons in shaping literary culture, while both creating and sustaining transnational intellectual networks.

This event will be held both in person in the Irish Studies Seminar Room and online via MS Teams.
