Leo Hofmann (he/him) creates and performs music theatres, sound performances and audio dramas. His artistic work explores music as a digitally interwoven yet corporally situated practice. With voice, movements and devices, he arranges spatial compositions and intimate listening situations. Examining music situated between transience and medial immutability, his pieces address the visual in musical performance and the physical agency of sound.

The work of Leo Hofmann has been featured at many international festivals, concert halls and theaters, including Kampnagel Hamburg, Gare du Nord Basel, Theater Neumarkt Zurich, Radialsystem Berlin, SPOR Festival Aarhus, and Festival Musica Strassburg. An ongoing collaboration connects him with the director Benjamin van Bebber, with whom he has realized various pieces and co-initiated the music theater collectiv [in]operabilities.
