QUB Worktribe Ethics
The University is launching a new research ethics management system. This new system, QUB Worktribe Ethics, will support the preparation, submission, review and approval of applications to the University’s Faculty and School Research Ethics Committees (RECs), as part of QUB’s Digital Transformation strategy.
The new system aims to streamline the ethical review process for research studies and optimise workflows. It is anticipated that the system will reduce the time applicants spend on the procedural tasks associated with creating and submitting ethics applications, and will allow for more efficient ethics review and application administration.
On 11 August 2025, a phased rollout will launch the new system. New applications should be made via this online system, however where an applicant has already begun to complete the current manual form/email process this will also be accepted for the first two weeks of each launch:
- MHLS Faculty REC launch - 11 August 2025
- EPS Faculty REC launch – 22 September 2025
- AHSS School RECs launch – 06 October 2025
The ethics application system has been designed to be intuitive and easy to use for staff and students. Guidance and instructional videos on how to use the system are available here.
You can log in to QUB Worktribe Ethics here.
