Professor Ludmilla Jordanova will deliver the annual Keith Jeffery Lecture at the Centre for Public History, Queen's University Belfast on 9 September 2025.

The mere existence of national portrait galleries - in London, Washington D.C. and Canberra for example - indicates their significance for public history.  In this lecture, Professor Jordanova will sketch how this is so through examples that resonate with the historical interests of Professor Keith Jeffery and speak to the idea of an 'Age of Anxieties'.
