Dr Ulrike M. Vieten has invited an array of international guest speakers to contribute to a Symposium on 1 March 2019, 'Gender, asylum seekers and refugees: how do European societies respond to loss and displacement'. The speakers are Prof Halleh Ghorashi (VU Amsterdam), Prof Giorgia Dona (UEL) and Prof İrem İnceoğlu (Kadir Has University Istanbul); discussants will be Dr Fiona Murphy (QUB), Dr Teresa Degenhardt (QUB) and Dr Lucy Michael (Ulster University Belfast).
