Music, Arts, Health, and Environment Network

Music, Arts, Health, and Environment (MAHE) is an international and interdisciplinary research network and platform initiated and led by Dr Zeynep Bulut at QUB, with the support of ESRC Impact Acceleration Account.

The network aims to bring together scholars and artists in the fields of music, sound, and voice studies, medical humanities, psychology, social anthropology, social policy and social work, science and technology studies, disability studies, human geography, and environmental planning, as well as arts, health, and innovation charities, health professionals, and policy makers.

Research topics include but are not limited to music, mind, and the body, the role of sound and music in narratives of illnesses, healing and health, implications and applications of music technologies in health sciences, music and public health, and public health and climate change.

With this platform, we wish to host, share, and foster ideas, conversations, interventions, activities, publications, and engagements for global challenges that we face together.
