This award is exclusively for new International students beginning their first year of full-time undergraduate study in Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24 who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

Year one award of £2500 (fee rate 1) or £3000 (fee rate 2) (Including advanced entry into Year 2 or Year 3)

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for an eligible programme and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded an International Office Undergraduate Scholarship upon enrolment.


This award is exclusively for new International students beginning their first year of full-time postgraduate taught study at Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24 who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

Year one award of £2000 (fee rate 1) or £3000 (fee rate 2). Queen's Management School postgraduate taught programmes will not be considered for this scholarship.

The Queen’s Loyalty Scholarship is a 20% reduction on first year gross tuition fees available exclusively to students who have been assessed as paying International tuition fee rates and are Queen’s University alumni, Exchange, Study Abroad, International Summer School or AHSS Winter School Students who have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme with Queen’s University Belfast and are returning for a full duration postgraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus in the academic year 2023/24.

The Queen’s Family Scholarship is a 20% reduction on first year gross tuition fees available exclusively to students who have been assessed as paying international tuition fee rates and are the children or siblings of Queen’s alumni or current Queen's University Belfast students, beginning a full duration eligible postgraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus in the academic year 2023/24. Stepchildren and step siblings will also be eligible.

Students wishing to avail of the Queen’s Family Scholarship may be required to provide additional verification of their relationship to the current Queen’s University Belfast student or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni through whom they are claiming the Scholarship

Four scholarships offering a 50% reduction on full tuition fees are available to exceptionally talented international students paying international tuition fee rates who will be starting their full-time undergraduate studies on an eligible programme at Queen’s University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24.

A 50% reduction on full tuition fees paid for all years of the programme, up to a maximum of four years (including advanced entry into Year 2 or Year 3) will be offered to the successful candidate who will be studying one the following programmes:

Applicants can only apply and be considered for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Undergraduate after they have been offered a place to study on one of the  programmes listed above and confirmed Queen’s University Belfast as their FIRM choice by their UCAS deadline. Applications cannot be considered in advance of applicants meeting these two criteria.


Four scholarships offering a 50% reduction on full tuition fees are available to exceptionally talented international students paying international tuition fee rates who will be starting their full-time postgraduate taught studies on an eligible programme at Queen’s University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24.

A 50% reduction on full tuition fees paid for all years of the programme, up to a maximum of two years will be offered to the successful candidate who will be studying one the following programmes:

Applicants can only apply and be considered for the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship-Postgraduate Taught after they have been offered a place to study on their chosen eligible programme and have FIRMLY accepted their offer. Applications cannot be considered in advance of applicants meeting these two criteria.


This award is exclusively for students who are a current student or have studied at one of the schools in the following list and have achieved a minimum standard of 85% in CBSE examinations:

Online application is required for this scholarship. Eligible candidates are required to submit an essay of up to 750 words explaining why they want to study at Queen's University Belfast and how this programme will help them fulfil their career aspirations.

This award is exclusively for new International students beginning their first year of full-time study on the graduate entry LLB Law (Senior Status) accelerated qualifying law degree at Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24 who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

Award value Year one award of £4000

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for graduate entry LLB Law (Senior Status) accelerated qualifying law degree and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded the LLB Law Senior Status International Scholarship upon enrolment.

 

Eligible applicants will receive confirmation of their LLB Law Senior Status International Scholarship shortly after their offer has been issued.


This merit-based award is exclusive to International Students who commenced a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus from September 2021.

Eligible students who achieve a 75% GPA in an academic year will be awarded a merit-based award following enrolment at the start of the subsequent academic year, with the exception of those who have programmes involving a placement year. Placement year students will receive their award following enrolment in the next academic year at which they will be studying at the Queen’s University Belfast campus.

Exceptional students who maintain a minimum GPA of 75% may receive this award in consecutive years.


A £1500 reduction in tuition fees is available to new international students beginning a full-time course in the academic year 2023/24 who hold an unconditional offer and pay their net tuition fees by the appropriate deadline.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Latin America.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

 

Excludes applicants to MBA programme


Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from the Middle East and North Africa who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Islamic Republic of Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Morocco Oman, Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syrian Arab Republic, United Arab Emirates or Yemen
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

 

Excludes applicants to MBA programme


Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Sub Saharan Africa who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

 

Excludes applicants to MBA programme.


Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from North America who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of either Canada or the United States of America.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

 

Excludes applicants to MBA programme


Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for applicants from South Asia studying postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of either Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

Excludes applicants to MBA programme.


Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from South East Asia who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, North Korea, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

 

Excludes applicants to MBA programme


Scholarships of £3000 available exclusively for applicants studying postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School from China.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of China Mainland, Hong Kong (SAR) or Macau (SAR).
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

INTO PROGRESSORS SCHOLARSHIP 2023/24

New international students progressing from INTO Queen's with unconditional offers for the academic year 2023/24 may receive an INTO Progressors Scholarship which offers a reduction of £1500 on tuition fees when paying tuition fees in full* by the deadline. 

May be used in conjunction with other International Office scholarships where eligible. See terms and conditions for further details.

  • Available to eligible Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research students

*Full tuition fees less any International Office awards including the INTO Progressors Scholarship should be paid by the 15 September 2023 deadline.


NORTH AMERICA FUTURE LEADERS AWARD 2023/24

4 awards of £5,000 towards tuition fees for the first year of undergraduate study

At Queen’s we offer a world-class education that prepares our students for leadership and citizenship in a global society. This award is available to students from the USA and Canada who will be starting their full-time undergraduate degree at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2023. The award is for high achieving students who can also demonstrate a commitment to leadership within their local or global community.

  • £5,000 reduction in year 1 tuition fees
  • Automatic appointment as North America student ambassador
  • Exclusions apply

There will be up to 20 full PhD scholarships available for candidates starting their studies in the 2023-24 academic year.  Applicants currently in the first year of a PhD programme at Queen's in the 2022-23 academic year may also apply, if they meet the eligibility requirements (including academic criteria and English language).  Such applicants must have commenced their PhD on or after 1 September 2022 in order to be eligible for consideration.


The specific purpose of the award is to support a postgraduate student from Palestine who otherwise would not be able to study at Queen’s due to financial limitations. To be eligible for this scholarship you must have Palestinian nationality and live in Gaza or the West Bank excluding East Jerusalem, and belong to a family normally resident there.

The Scholarship will cover international tuition fees for a taught masters.

Accommodation in a single room, suitable for one person, will also be provided in Queen’s accommodation for the duration of a one year Masters programme.

One scholarship will be awarded for 2022/23


Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Europe or Central Asia who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Europe or Central Asia.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.
