Momentum One Zero (M1.0): is a Queen’s University led cross-disciplinary digital innovation hub that builds on the momentum of the world-class ECIT (Institute of Electronics, Communications & Information Technology) facility that has already succeeded in putting Belfast on the map in terms of digital innovation. The project will lead to growth in key areas of the University’s strengths, such as ICT, Health and Life Sciences and Agri-Food.
The site is within Titanic Quarter, on the existing ECIT site. The new extension to the ECIT building will be approximately 6,340m2 and will include:
- Work and research hubs
- Research support
- Common spaces and
- Building support
The building work is expected to start on site in Summer 2025 and the facility will be operational by Summer 2027.
