Celebrating Pi Day

Who says letters and numbers can't be friends?

A selection of our books celebrating numbers and Pi

Here at McClay, we love a nerdy subject, so we wanted to mark Pi Day: a celebration of the irrational never-ending number π, pronounced pi, 3.14...

Our American students will know that 14th March is chosen to celebrate this most famous of numbers because their date notations means 14th March reads 3-14 (it also happens to be Einstein's birthday, so even more reason to celebrate).

So this Saturday 14th, celebrate the mathematician in your life by asking them about pi or just eating some pie!

Here at the Library, we'll be dipping into some of our Pi-themed books - because maths and reading can be the best of friends.
