SciFinder subscription ending – Reaxys now available

The Library’s subscription to SciFinder will end on 30 September.

As an alternative, the Library now provides access to Reaxys. While the two platforms differ in interface and some features, Reaxys is similar to SciFinder in that it can be used for finding property, reaction and synthesis data from a rich collection of peer-reviewed literature, patents and substance databases.

If you would like to familiarize yourself with the Reaxys database, please have a look at the available video tutorials. You can also sign up to the self-paced Reaxys 101 course from Reaxys Academy, which takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete.

Please note: downloaded content from SciFinder must be deleted after the conclusion of the research project for which the content is being used or after 36 months, whichever occurs first.

For further information or support, please contact Irene Bittles, Subject Librarian for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (email: i.bittles@qub.ac.uk).
