‘Time Nor Tide: Ireland & Climate Change’
Ben Harkin

Tuesday 1st June, 1-2pm

During the 2020 lockdown, Queen’s student Ben Harkin used his time to write a book: Time nor Tide: Ireland & Climate Change. In it he explains the impacts of climate change on Ireland and the solutions we have to get to net-zero.

In this talk, Ben will explain these, why he wrote a book and also talk about his own experience growing up in rural Ireland impacts his views.

What’s ahead of us?  How can we stop it?

Drawing on research from Ireland and across the world, this book explains what we can expect for the future in Ireland with climate change, and how we can move to prepare for the impacts of what’s ahead. Combining studies and stories Ben Harkin clearly explains how we can use the technology we already have to bring our country to being carbon neutral, while building a better future for all.
