Discover Queen's
OVERVIEW
Our itinerary will include:
- Sunday / Monday – Arrival and rest
- Tuesday / Wednesday – Discover Queen’s campus and facilities and meet with some of our students and staff
- Thursday – Excursion to the picturesque North Antrim coastline to see the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Giant’s Causeway
- Friday - Departure
To help assist with your visit, we would be delighted to cover the following expenses:
- Flights up to the value of £1100 GBP to attend
- Visa application processing up to the value of £120 GBP
- 5 nights' accommodation in the Grand Central Hotel from Sunday 7 April – Friday 12 April 2024
- Scheduled meals throughout your itinerary
- Airport transfers in Belfast
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- By registering for this event, participants and participating schools will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- This event is open to the designated email recipient only, or the recipient can nominate an attendee (within the same organisation) who is directly involved in recruitment to Queen’s University Belfast.
- The University reserves the right to request the participation of specific High School Counsellors who are actively involved in recruitment to Queen’s University Belfast.
- Event registration must be completed in full to be considered as a participant.
- If the participant requests a letter of invitation from the University for visa application purposes at the point of registration, it will be provided within 3 working days.
- The University will determine the event programme and all associated logistics, commencing with arrival into Belfast and ending upon departure from Belfast.
- The University will provide 5 nights' B&B accommodation in a 5-star city centre hotel as chosen by the University between the 7th to 12th April 2024 only.
- The University will cover meals at set times throughout the scheduled itinerary.
- The University will provide travel reimbursement of up to a maximum of £1100 GBP to cover flights for attendees. It is the responsibility of the attendee to book their own flights promptly to secure the best available airfares. You will be asked to provide the relevant bank details and evidence of flight costs when you claim your reimbursement. Invoices are not required and will not be processed. More information regarding how to claim the reimbursement will be provided in due course.
- The University will provide reimbursement of up to a maximum of £120 GBP for standard visa application processing for attendees to come to the event. Additional costs associated with priority visa processing will not be covered by the University. It is the responsibility of the attendee to cover any additional costs. You will be asked to provide the relevant bank details and evidence of visa application costs when you claim your reimbursement. Invoices are not required and will not be processed. More information regarding how to claim the reimbursement will be provided in due course.
- By registering for this event, it is expected that the nominee will participate in all scheduled activities during the programme. The University reserves the right to decline any claim for the travel grant if the attendee fails to do so.
- The University will not reimburse any amendments to flights (i.e. name changes and cancellations). If the nominated participant is no longer able to attend, and flights have already been purchased, the University will not reimburse costs of any participant who does not attend. If someone else attends on behalf of the nominated participant, the University will only reimburse costs for one attendee as outlined in points 9 and 10. Changes to participant details should be avoided where possible unless there are extenuating circumstances.
- It is the responsibility of each participant to arrange their own travel and health insurance. The University will not provide insurance for the nominated participant and will not accept liability.
