ENOC Keynote on Child Right Impact Assessment

Keynote at ENOC Childrens rights seminar

SSESW academic Bronagh Byrne was the keynote speaker at today’s online seminar by the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children, which looked at Child Rights Impact Assessments. Bronagh is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and programme director for our MSc in Children’s Rights. She reminded participants that implementing child rights impact assessments involves identifying a suitable model and requires knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child but stressed that these challenges shouldn’t put them off such important work. Bronagh also highlighted the need for enforcement of the outcomes found in the assessment report.
