Dr Becky Shelley and Dr Megan Lang presented their paper Children as Researchers: Wild Things and the Dialogic Imagination. Their paper presents a reflexive account of working with children as researchers, and the challenges faced in the research process around knowledge, power, and school. Dr Shelley and Dr Lang’s presentation was followed by a lively Q&A discussion which prompted reflections on our role as researchers, and the assumptions we make about children and research when working with them. We had to wrap up our discussion at the end because it was 8pm in Australia! Special thanks to Becky and Megan for staying up late to give us such a rich presentation.
