Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology (or related fields)

Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) is Dubai Healthcare City’s first medi­cal university and is part of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation. MBRU aims to be a global hub for innovative and integrated healthcare education and research in the UAE and beyond. The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through its colleges and the language of instruction is English.

MBRU is currently growing its genomics related research programs. This includes expanding its state-of-the-art research facilities and conducting large scale genome sequencing with the aim of translating the findings for future clinical use. The University is presently soliciting applications for positions at all academic ranks (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor) in the following disciplines: Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology (any other related OMICS field).

Faculty members will be working in an academic and healthcare environment located in the heart of Dubai, a major travel hub with direct flight connections to most major cities.

MBRU offers competitive compensation packages, including tuition fee support for children’s education and air travel tickets for faculty and eligible family members.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • D. or MD/PhD degree(s)
  • Academic experience in a recognized university (at least five years for Associate Professor position and at least 10 years for Full Professor position)
  • Significant research track record with experience in large-scale genomic projects (i.e. deep understanding of next-generation sequencing, transcriptomics, proteomics, computational genomics, sequencing data analysis)
  • Experience in teaching, assessing, and supervising of medical students and biomedical graduate students
