International Women's Day 2023

International Women's Day: Menopause Awareness for All Staff

The University has scheduled a regular programme of Menopause Awareness sessions for all staff.

The next available session will mark International Women's Day on 8 March 2023, taking place online from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.

Register via iTrent: Wellbeing - Menopause Awareness for all Staff

From hot flushes to mood disturbances to relationship difficulties, the menopause can be a challenging time for those affected and for those around them. This session is designed to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and prompt conversations in the workplace, as well as to inform staff of what to expect, and when and where to seek help around issues relating to menopause.

These sessions are delivered by two of the University's own academic GPs with a keen interest in women's health, Dr Helen Reid and Dr Jenny Johnston (School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences).
