Belonging in Focus: iRise & the DEIB Forum on International Student Awarding Gaps
On Monday 17th November 2025, as a co-organiser of the third Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Forum, iRise Staff Network was pleased to support an event dedicated to understanding and addressing the awarding gap experienced by international students in QUB School of Law. The Forum welcomed around 25 participants and featured a research presentation, a panel discussion, and a celebration of International Students’ Day.
For iRise, the Forum reaffirmed the importance of ongoing collaboration across Schools, services and staff networks to improve equity of experience and outcomes for international staff and students. We look forward to supporting future DEIB forums and continuing to champion initiatives that promote belonging, fairness and inclusive practice across Queen’s.
