Duration - More InformationThrough the Future-Ready Skills for Leaders: Boston programme, 25 undergraduate students from across the University will come together to work on projects and develop skills that enable them to become change makers both at Queen’s university and in the wider community.
The project work, which takes place at Queen's is enhanced by a short visit to an international city to meet with alumni, other professionals and a range of companies. The international location of the leadership programme changes each year.
Previous programmes have taken place in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Canada and the US. In 2023 we will visit Boston.
- Open to degree registered undergraduate Queen’s University students, any programme of study
- Participants will be selected through a standardised written application and interview.
- Quotas will be used to ensure a balance of participants from across the University.
- Preference will be given to students who have not already participated in, or been offered a place on, the following programmes:
- A previous Global Leadership Programme including Global Leadership Experience – Asia
- Brussels Workplace Study Tour
- New York Career Development Programme
- The previous London Finance Tour, London Law Tour or Workplace Study Tour to Germany that were run by Careers, Employability and Skills
- Preference may be given to students from under-represented courses.
- Preference will be given to students who have not already participated in, or been offered a place on, the following programmes:

Further Information
Does it Cost?Yes
Cost Details£250 per student to cover transport and accommodation. Students shortlisted for the programme will be given details on how to pay this fee. We will request that it be paid in 2 instalments of £125 each.
It is recommended that students bring enough funds to cover daily travel and subsistence expenses.
