Queen's recently hosted a debate on 'Victims, Perpetrators and Legacies of Violent Conflict'.

The event was hosted by the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen's. 

The key speakers were Dr James Waller, Cohen Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and Chair of the department at Keene State College, New Hampshire; and Dr Cheryl Lawther, Lecturer at the School of Law and Senior Research Fellow at the Mitchell Institute at Queen’s.

The debate explored the legacies of violent conflicts around the world, considering the roles and relationships involving victims and perpetrators.

The debate was followed by a Q&A session.
