We are delighted to announce that we will soon be launching a standalone Children's Rights Blog series. You will have had a taster of some of our recent blogs from Centre colleagues and from young people, so we are very excited to be developing this further.

The Children's Rights Blog will be led by James Kane, new Visiting Scholar to CCR and a young person who is a founder member of the Secondary Students’ Union of Northern Ireland (SSUNI). His work on freedom of association has been published in the International Journal of Children’s Rights.

Joining the Blog editorial group is Sarah Martin, a Year 12 student who recently completed work experience with us and who is a member of the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People Youth Panel and the global children's advisory group for Child Rights Connect.

We are also delighted to have Koulla Yiasouma, Honorary Professor of Practice at the Centre for Children’s Rights, Queen’s University Belfast. She has been a children’s rights activist for nearly 30 years and has held several roles as an organisational leader and policy advocate during that time. The final member of the group is Bronagh Byrne, Director of the Centre for Children's Rights and Professor Disability and Children's Rights. Bronagh will be joined by her Hearing Dog (and Centre mascot), Robyn.

We will be accepting submissions from children and young people and adults on any topic relating to the rights of children.

You can find our submission guidelines here: Children's Rights Blog Submission Guidelines
